Add water to the coconut (if dirty water, it will purify).Put a coconut half on one of the fire slots. If this occurs, you should always treat the infection alongside the fever as the infection will likely kill you as well. If you have had a worm (for example) and removed it via a fish bone or bone needle, but did not have any Molineria to make bandages, the wound may end up infected. In addition, Fever causes a temporary reduction in sanity, and reduced energy levels over time.įever can also be the sign of an infected wound. In particular, careful attention should be paid to your health level and macro element levels if you need to sleep while a fever is persistent. Fever will increase your usage of macro elements (Proteins, Carbohydrates, Fats and Water), so while in itself, it is not deadly if you are not prepared for it, the result can be death. When bitten by a venomous creature, a fever will be present immediately. Except once! at the very end.In some cases, fever can be avoided by tending to an injury or ailment before it gets to this point, however for venomous bites and ingestion of fever inducing foods, this is not the case. Me showing off : I completed the entire game in single player without ever checking the Internet, on normal difficulty. Use it vigorously! Your very life depends on it.Ībove all else: It's supposed to be hard! The jungle will provide. Prepare thoroughly for every single walk in the jungle.Īlot of crafting options to go crazy in base building, but as other's are pointing out, far from most items are strictly necessary, but it's part of the game identifying what is.ĭo yourself a favour and stay away from ANY wiki telling you how the jungle works and maps of the jungle.įiguring everything out with the in-game notebook, is half the game! The game will provide maps, but you have to be brave to find them. To me, its up there with Subnautica.Įnough story to keep you going and give the game purpose instead of just 'build everything and then what?'īrutal consequences if you think you can speed run it. I have played alot of survival games and they have become my favourite genre. On the whole, definitely recommendable, its up there with Subnautica and The Forest as the best singleplayer story-focused survival experiences available. I was also not a big fan of the spelunking in The Forest and having the story progression gated through meticulous cave exploring. In this sense The Forest is better, because survival mode is a mix of base building and tower defence as increasingly tougher waves of enemies are thrown at your base. I'd say the only negative is that while the game gives you plenty of crafting options to build a makeshift base of sorts, the story keeps getting you to move camp and never settle. But you learn by death and soon enough its very simple to survive and have contingency plans when the shit hits the fan. Hacking some trees or picking up leaves? Snake bite! Dead. I really don't get the criticisms about it's story, for me it was really good, and as in Subnautica, it's the thread that pulls you along toward the end game and through the map.Īt the beginning its a very tough game, as everything in it is out to kill you. If you told me whether I enjoyed this or The Forest better, I'd say hands down Green Hell.
